Bow Hanger- cute and easy DIY

Today I’ve got a super easy DIY for a bow hanger in baby girl’s nursery!I’m as girly as they come so I knew I would need something to hang all of the many bow I’ve began to collect for my sweet little babe.  I started with this framed art piece a family friend had gifted me to that she didn’t want (and knew I would find a creative way to use it). You could use any size frame! I would just go to you’re local goodwill and find something that would work in your nursery. I took out the glass, art and backing. Then I painted the frame using some…

    Halloween Wreath DIY

First off, IT”S OCTOBER! yay I love crafting, especially wreaths. I had so much fun last year making all of these crafts here, here and here to decorate my home for fall. I had been brainstorming ideas for a while for a Halloween wreath and all I knew was I wanted it to be simple and clean. I headed to the best store in the world, Hobby Lobby, and winged it from there.  I ended up buying a straw wreath (because it was cheaper and thicker than Styrofoam), small wooden letters, orange paint and a small roll of decorative black ribbon. I also used my glue gun with this one. ^Netflix…

    DIY Spring wreath

I made this wreath a few weeks ago with nothing more than some cute fake berry/flower things (I really don’t know what to call them!) that I got at the dollar store and a Styrofoam wreath from hobby lobby which I tied a ribbon around. It was probably the easiest DIY I have ever done. I just cut the flowers (or you can call them berries) off and stuck them in the styrofoam until it looked full and covered.  TA DA!Spring is HERE!!

    Christmas Decorations!

Decorating for Christmas on a newlywed budget is difficult for me because if I could, I would go absolutely crazy with decorations. But I’m pretty happy with how our little home looks 🙂 I decorated the tree with dollar store ornaments (minus the big ben ornament we got as a wedding gift).  I’m kind of obsessed with the tree skirt I found at TJMaxx. The garland in front of the TV was created from a wreath I bought at goodwill, disassembled and stretched straight. The gold and white trees on either side of the TV are made from paper and styrofoam. I love the way they turned out! (Warning, they…

    Fall Craft Number 3!

This year I have had so much fun making fall crafts and decor!  I started of with these pumpkins and then made the boo sign and lastly I made this simple fall banner.  Banners are probably my favorite decoration ever created and I love that they are in right now.  They are cute, simple and cheeeeap! All you need is some fun printed paper, sting and tape! Oh, and scissors. I decided to also buy some glittery stickers to embellish. You can add so much to this basic idea- layers of triangles, ribbon trim, cut-outs, etc!  Pinterest will give you lots of ideas, but this is how my simple fall…

    Love Mugs

It’s wedding season year round here in Utah. It seems like I’m always going to a bridal shower, engagement party or reception. All those wedding gifts take a toll on our bank account! But I didn’t want our newlywed budget to ruin my enjoyment of gift giving. I wanted to find the perfect wedding gift that was heartfelt and cute but also didn’t break the bank. After some thinking and a few failed ideas, I got it! I call them “Love Mugs” 🙂 They’re inexpensive, adorable and heartfelt… and I kind of love them. First– Start with some mugs. Any color will do! I personally like white. (P.S. the dollar…
