Why I Blog
Someone asked me the other day why I like to blog. All I could say was “It’s fun”.
Then I thought to myself, “Why is it fun?” Why do I like it?”.
When I really thought about it, there are a lot of reasons.
It’s like a journal. That’s why I started it. So that I would never forget studying in London and now my newlywed life. Blogging is like a combination of journaling and scrapbooking without all the mess! Copying and pasting in a computer is much simpler than in real life.
I already write in a journal, but a blog is different. I have found that I write more often on a blog. One, because my family wants to be caught up about what’s going on in our lives. Two, because if I wait too long to write I forget all the great little details. Somehow, I care more about getting those details in there and correct when my writing is published for the world to see.
Writing on a blog somehow makes you more creative. I get great ideas about what I want to write or share. Slowly, I am becoming a better writer. More creative, open and exciting.
Blogging has made writing something that I enjoy; which it never has been. That’s an awesome enough reason in itself.
When it comes to fashion blogging, this was something I never really wanted to do. I was inspired by other bloggers to give it a try. They would talk about how much fun it was. You know what? It is fun! Not the part about putting up pictures of yourself, but the part where your style improves. You put a little more thought and effort into getting ready. You think of new ways to wear old pieces of clothing and ways to mix things in your closet that you never would have before.
As a result, my self confidence has increased. That might sound silly, but it’s the truth!
Blogging has helped me in my hunt for happiness:)
It’s fun! And now I know why.

I agree! Blogging makes me able to analyze my life, process what's important, and write about it in such a way that I remember how beautiful it is.Also, you're darling.
Blogging is good, but out of curiosity do you keep a personal journal. You know, the stuff you don't want the whole world to know about. Your personal insights, secrets, deepest joys, fears, lessons learned from fights or from mistakes, etc…. While blogging is the best, I often wonder if bloggers keep a journal of their most personal experience. 🙂
Taylor, I totally keep a personal journal. It's all the deep personal stuff. It's so important to me.
Thanks Brooke:) glad you feel the same! You're the cutest!
