Mom

When it comes to talking about my Mom, I never know where to start…
Dear Mom,
You are my best friend.
You are the one person who I have always told everything to. If I go a day without talking to you on the phone, it feels weird. You’re the girlfriend who I can spend hours and hours with talking. Long car rides with you aren’t even that bad! 🙂 You’re understanding and a great listener. You give the best advice, when I need it or when I don’t. I love just spending time with you in any way! You’re my number one shopping buddy. We are really really good at shopping 🙂 You’re my gym partner and I wish you lived closer so we could go together every morning like we did the summers when I lived at home. You and Dad are the two people I have always trusted most in life (now I can add Scott to that list).Mom, I really am so lucky to have you not only as my mom, but as my best friend.
Most of all Mom, you are my example.
If I can be half of the woman and mother that you are I will be happy. You are Incredible. You blow me away with all of your amazing qualities. You are so loving. I think Emily said it best “Mom, you have love in your blood”. You really do! I have always felt unconditionally loved by you. I know that you would do or give anything for me. Knowing you are always there for me has been such an amazing comfort.
You are SO hardworking. Your example of hard work, keeping commitments and giving that last 10% has taught me so much. It has made me a better student, sister, wife and friend. You have taught me how to be on time (or early:). You have shown me how to be organized and efficient. How to get up early and get all of the work done so we can play. Those little things have made my life so much more enjoyable!
You are just so much fun! You just have the most radiant and friendly personality. You make new friends everywhere you go. You are outgoing and willing to try new things. Everyone loves to be around you. You have a special light and kindness that can’t be taught.
You are a spiritual giant. Your faith and knowledge of the Gospel makes me want to be better. You have shown me that nothing will bring me more happiness than obedience to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You have shown me how to give service, to show compassion, to be patient,  and so many other amazing qualities.
When someone tells me “you are just like your mom” it is the biggest compliment in the world.
I could go on and on.
Mom, you are my best friend and my example.
I love you more than words could ever express.
I am so grateful that you are my mom.
I love you!
Happy Mothers Day!
