Friends and Parties

Last week some of my blogger friends (a lot not pictured) got together to say goodbye to Ms. Gentri. We all love her so much and she will be greatly missed. I wish I could have stayed and been part of the cute group pics, but homework was calling me home. Miss you already Gentri!
Last Saturday I had a lunch date with Lisa, one of my favorite people of all time! We sat next to each other on the first day of undergraduate communication disorder classes and we have been inseparable ever since. We grabbed some Costa Vida, laughed our heads off, went shopping and scored some awesome deals. We also got the best parking spot of all time at the mall and grabbed sonic strawberry limeades on the way home. It was a straight up awesome Saturday.
Wednesday night Alycia and I partied it up all night long. We had tacos for dinner, had a disastrous visit to a candy store, shopped and finally had a blast at the Called to Surf blogger party. If you don’t know, called to surf is one of my favorite shops at the Riverwoods in Provo. It has some seriously cute clothes. Sodalicious catered the event and it was amazing!
People keep asking us if we’re sisters. We’re going to just start saying yes.
The event had a fun contest to put together your perfect spring outfit with items from the store and then instagram it. Crossing my fingers I’ll win haha
I ended up buying the skirt. It was just too cute to pass up!
These girls are my favorite thing about blogging! We always have so much fun together.
Oh, and last night we made pizza.
This one is Scott’s pizza because I discovered I have celiac disease (insert sad face). I made a gluten free one for me and it was surprisingly good. It definitely wasn’t as pretty though.
Happy Saturday! I’ll get back to cleaning the house now 🙂

Hi Elise,I follow your blog just about a few months and today I was catched by your latest discovery… Wow, celiac disease… Then you have to face a lot of changes of your daily buisness I guess. Keep your head up! First time it is really, really hard, but its getting a whole better if you are getting more familiar with gf food. Also in the USA there are such great gf products, which tastes similar to the \”old stuff\”, some even better 😉 Here in germany, gf is still an emerging thing. We have some pretty bad products here, mostly dry and nasty whch start crumbling the moment you look at it 🙁 And even worse, restaurants and cafes offering gf food are still rare…I'm curious about the dignosis in the US. Did you get a biopsy or was it \”just\” some blood tests? We had here a little discussion about the nessity of the biopsy in germany which is why I ask (I graduated in biology with the focus of gastroenerology. Aka my disease my passion!)Good luck for you!CU Anne

Hey Elise!Where exactly did you buy that skirt and what is the brand? I love the style and color of it. It's exactly what I have been looking for my bridesmaid skirts! Thanks!

Whoa…I never connected that you and Alycia could be sisters. I can totally see it. Looks like fun! Wish I wasn't so busy and could come to these things more often!!
