My Birthday and More

It has been too long since I’ve blogged. I can’t even remember everything that has been going on!
Life has been so busy, but so awesome!
June 19th was my birthday and I really wasn’t expecting much. I was excited to have finished my finals and have the day to do whatever I wanted. And it turned out to be my best birthday yet!
I came home from lounging at the pool to this setup^ I seriously have the best husband. Ever. I think he is well aware by now what my favorite color is. ha ha
For lunch, we picked up my brother from tennis camp and ate at Cubby’s. It was so fun to be able to spend a little bit of time with him on my birthday. I wish I had taken a picture!
Once Scott got home from work he took me up to Salt Lake City to walk around downtown. We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory (It’s one of my favorites).
The waiter offered to bring a cheesecake for my birthday and we were pretty full but since he offered (and we incorrectly assumed it would be free) we said why not. It was delicious though. I don’t regret it one bit.
After dinner, we took a carriage ride around temple square. It is my favorite place. I have so many wonderful memories there. It was the first time we had taken a carriage ride there since we left our wedding reception.
Once we were home, Scott surprised me again with my all time favorite dessert- a apple pie caramel apple from rocky mountain chocolate factory. And he put sparklers in it for fun 🙂
Friday night Scott, Nick and I ate ice cream and  played with sparklers and the long exposure on my camera. We had so much stinkin fun.
On Saturday some of our best friends came into town and we were able to spend the whole day with them. We spent time at their parent’s house playing with the brand new, two day old, baby goats (they were probably the cutest things I’ve ever seen) and miniature horses.
That’s the boys taking care of the baby miniature horse.
That night the four of us went to see the production of Mary Poppins at the Hale Center theater. To say it blew me away is an understatement. This is the only picture we all got together and it makes us all look chubby, but oh well. It was such a fun night!
Sunday we went up to Scott’s parent’s place to celebrate my birthday and my sister-in-law, Ashley’s too. Three family birthdays in one week. Partay.
My mother-in-law made these cute cakes (well mine was gluten-free brownies with frosting). We had so much fun celebrating together.
Since then, I started my internship at the hospital and I am absolutely LOVING it!
Phew, now I’m all caught up.
