Welcome to Santa’s workshop!! Also known as, my garage! 😂 This week, I’m trying to secretly build a Barbie dream house for my girls for Christmas! I’ve only got 10 days 😳😬They’ve been asking for a Barbie house for awhile and I knew I could build one that’s way less and way cuter than my buying options! I have got some FUN plans for this house. I think they’ll surprise you!🎉   ✨Barbie dream house but make it RAINBOW 💗🧡💛💚💙 ✨I love it!!! It’s so fun!! I used lattice trim to cover the exterior in mini shiplap and then painted each row a different pastel color of the rainbow! Of…

Painting Your Piano- Step by Step Tutorial

I painted my piano for the first time about 4 years ago with chalk paint. I have been so happy with how it’s held up all these years! But, I was ready for a color change so I painted it again! Here are all the steps I took to get a beautiful professional looking finish when painting your piano!   PRODUCTS- I used BB FROSCH paint transformer and Sherwin Williams ProClassic trim paint in the color Egret White (It has a slight grey to it. Very pretty!). The paint transformer turns any paint into chalk paint.  I wanted a matte finish so I got the paint in satin finish. I…

    Neutral Christmas Decor

I love neutral Christmas Decor! It is so calming and peaceful to me! This post is to help organize the links to all my decor items! I hope you find it helpful!   GREENERY GARLAND- I mix my greenery to create the garland. For over the mantel, I used these eucalyptus garlands (I used 2 of the two packs) , this faux cedar garland (I used 2 of these), and 1 of these cedar garlands from Walmart. I wrapped the eucalyptus and faux cedar garland around each other and laid that across the mantel. Then I cut the remaining garlands into pieces and draped over the front to create the fullness.…

    Plaid Wainscoating in Half Bathroom

I have a half bathroom in our house that was quite honestly boring.  I think most half baths are boring because of their size, and they don’t always get a lot of use.  If you’ve been following along with me on Instagram for long, you know I’m the queen of “extra”, and so I knew I had to do something in this room to make it “extra”.  My friend, Christine, did a complete makeover in Jordan Page’s office and I fell IN LOVE with her accent wall.  So I thought why not give it a try here! This project was WAY more tedious than I anticipated it to be.  Altogether,…

    Christmas Tree Box DIY

I LOVE the look of a Christmas Tree box instead of a skirt! It looks so homey, cozy, and unique. I had SO many questions last year about my Christmas tree box so here is a step by step tutorial on how to make your own! This is such a fun and affordable DIY! I’ve included two different versions with instructions. One is a non-foldable option that is more simple to construct and a little more affordable and the second is a foldable version that takes just a little bit more time and money. Both good options! Non-Foldable Version Materials 3 –1x4x8 boards 2- 1x3x8 boards 4 L brackets Wood…

    DIY Bobble Lamp

I have these gorgeous lamps on our bedside tables in our master bedroom.  However, they are clear and with the window behind them they don’t offer a lot of contrast.  I found these super fun bobble lamps, but was SHOCKED when I saw the price tag.  $695?!?!  I knew I could DIY my current lamps for way less! Here are what the current lamps look like:   See what I mean?  You can hardly see the lamps with the light coming in from the windows.  To get started, here is my inspiration: I don’t think I could ever justify almost $700 for ONE lamp.  So I grabbed my supplies and…

    $10 DIY “Hello Fall” Sign

I love seasonal signs, but they can get so spendy!  So I figured, why not make them myself?! For this sign, you will need: Materials: 1/4 inch plywood (you can buy either 1/4, 1/2 or a full sheet) 1 X 2 boards- common or pine (enough to frame your sign, whatever size you choose) Paint Wood Glue Tools Jigsaw Table saw or router Instructions Cut your plywood to size.  I made this sign 2 foot by 2 foot. Paint it your desired color. Then, cut another 2X2 plywood for your “mat”.  I chose to make my mat 3 inches, and cut it out with a jig saw. (TIP- use a…

    DIY Oversized Art

Have you ever wanted a big piece of artwork that makes a statement, but can’t justify the price tag? Last summer, I redid my sister-in-law’s nursery.  One thing that was really important to her was that the nursery be portable in case they moved someday.  I was inspired by @withinthegrove when she made a HUGE piece for her living room.  So I decided to give it a try and made this custom oversized art! MATERIALS NEEDED 1×2 common board (or pine) 4X8 sheet of plywood Paint Sandpaper Wood filler Table saw or router Miter saw Brad nailer & nails DIRECTIONS Sand your plywood to your liking.  Paint the base layer. …

2 Day Gender Neutral Shared Toddler/Nursery Makeover

I had the opportunity last summer to surprise my sister-in-law with a nursery/shared toddler room makeover!  It was so much fun, and I think I need to do more surprise makeovers this coming year! She wanted something calming ✔️ Something she could take with her if she moves from the house ✔️ and something gender neutral for her little girl and baby boy! It was such a fun challenge to makeover this room in such a short amount of time and on a budget! This is what the room looked like when I started: The first thing I knew I needed to do was brighten up the room with some…
