We are the Hunters: Elise, Scott, and our rays of sunshine, Lila and Gracie. This journey began when Scott and I tied the knot, and I was eager to document our adventures together. In search of a name that encapsulated finding joy in everyday life, Scott came up with “Hunters of Happiness.” Little did we know that this name would resonate even more profoundly as we embarked on a path filled with life’s unexpected challenges.
We faced years of infertility, weathered the storm of two failed IVF cycles, endured the heartache of two miscarriages, and emerged from it all stronger than ever. Our reward? Two incredible, miracle girls, Lila and Gracie, who light up our lives daily.
I hold a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology, a field that fuels my desire to make the world a more beautiful place in every way possible. Alongside that, my heart has always had a special place for interior design.
Scott is a businessman and an advocate for innovation. From the moment we met, he’s been an entrepreneur at heart, and I’ve happily followed suit. He’s launched multiple tech startup businesses, proving time and again his unwavering work ethic and determination.
Our DIY journey began when we purchased our first home eight years ago, and from day one, I was hooked. I boldly seized the power tools, no longer waiting for Scott’s availability, and took charge. It’s been an incredibly empowering and delightful experience.
Through our blog, I’ve been incredibly humbled and grateful to witness the spark of inspiration ignite in the hearts of fellow women. It warms my heart to see so many incredible women jumping into action, embarking on their own creative DIY journeys- proving that there’s no limit to what we can achieve when we dare to dream, pick up those power tools, and transform our spaces into places of beauty and warmth.
